What information does Live Auction Results receive and how do we use it?
When you sign up for Hammer Price and other services, we may ask you for your name and contact information (such as an email address, phone number, or physical address) ("Personally Identifiable Information"). We may also request non-identifiable information about your personal preferences, age, and gender, among other things ("Non Identifiable Information"). This information lets us provide personalized services and communicate separately with you. We also collect, analyze, and aggregate additional information about our users and their behavior ("Other Collected Information").
Other Collected Information may include:
Computer Hardware and Software. We may also collect certain information about your computer or device hardware and software. An Internet Protocol (“IP”) address is a unique string of numbers that is assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We will use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Service. Your IP address also may be used to gather broad demographic information. We may also gather information about your internet service provider, browser type, operating system, access times, information about your mobile devices (including the mobile phone number you use to connect with the Service), your temporary geo-location and information about which pages you visit on our Site or through our App.
We may use all of the information we collect to provide our services to you, evaluate our users' preferences, improve our programming, and facilitate third-party reporting of Internet usage. We will not use or disclose Personally Identifiable Information for any advertising purpose.
What if I need to review or change the personal information I previously disclosed?
We encourage Hammer Price users to update and edit their Personally Identifiable Information and keep it current. You can easily correct or update your Personally Identifiable Information at any time in the Settings menu.
What kind of security is used to protect my information?
We store all user information in secure databases protected via a variety of access controls. This data is accessed only for the purposes specified in this privacy statement.
Who has access to my information?
We do not share Personally Identifiable Information with other companies (apart from those acting as our agents in providing our service to you, who agree to use it only for that purpose), except as necessary to fulfill a transaction you have requested, or unless you otherwise give us permission to do so. Live Auction Results will comply with all lawful legal requests for information and may be required to share your information in response to legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.
As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets, and, depending upon the transaction, your Personally Identifiable Information may be one of the transferred assets. In the event that we are acquired by another company, your Personally Identifiable Information may be part of the assets transferred to the acquiring party.
What about other companies featured on Hammer Price?
We will not reveal any Personally Identifiable Information to any advertisers or companies featured on Hammer Price. In some circumstances, we may use or disclose Non Identifiable Information and Other Collected Information for advertising purposes. This information may be used to assess the size of a particular advertising market or to solicit information or advertisements to certain categories of users. For example, we may facilitate an advertising partner that wishes to market a product to males of a certain age located in Texas. If you respond to or interact with a directed advertisement, the advertiser may be able to infer information about you based on the criteria established for displaying the advertisement. If you choose to provide personally identifiable information to an advertiser, the advertiser may be able to associate that information with additional inferred information used to establish the criteria for displaying a particular advertisement.
What about third-party websites, services, and technologies?
What about children’s information?
Neither our App nor our Site is directed to children under the age of 13. We assume users of our App or visitors to our Site are adults or minors supervised by a parent or guardian. We respect the privacy of parents and children and are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If a parent believes that his or her child has provided us with personal information, he or she can contact us via e-mail as listed below. We will promptly delete the information upon learning that it relates to a child under the age of 13.
